GNTB announces German Summer Cities campaign

The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) will launch a new worldwide campaign for next year.

 

It recently introduced 100- years of Bauhaus celebrating the artistic movement. The campaign marks the start of digital marketing offer by GNTB and will include action weeks and pop-up events, comprehensive social media activity in different source markets with the hashtag #GermanSummerStories.

 

 

 

Petra Hedorfer, chief executive of the GNTB mentioned that since it is a market leader in urban and cultural travel GNTB is adept in storytelling strategy with five main themes.

 

 

The themes include Urban City highlights big-city culture, shopping and roof-top bars, Romantic story is focused mostly on small historic fairy-tale towns in rural area, castles and parks. Another important part of the campaign is Vineyards and  the Holiday on the Water theme offering a variety of reasons to travel during summer.

 

 

There will be coastal experiences, pleasure boats, island life, river rafting, excursion steamers and many stories to be told.

 

 

 

Hedorfer mentioned that the Art & Culture theme will be highlighting museums and exhibitions, industrial heritage, along with musical shows.

 

The sightseeing destinations are a major reason to travel to Germany also it has several remarkable landmarks as compared to other competitors.
